Biz Labs Group, Inc. ("Biz Labs," "we," "us," or "our") operates the GetBiz mobile application and the website getbiz.io (collectively, the "Service"). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and protect your information when you use the Service.
By using the Service, you agree to the practices described in this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.
1. Information We Collect
Information You Provide
- Account information: name, email address, and password when you register.
- Business information: business name, industry, revenue, and other financial data you enter or that is imported from connected services (e.g., QuickBooks).
- Payment information: billing details processed through our payment provider, Stripe. We do not store your full card number on our servers.
- Communications: messages you send to our support team at admin@getbiz.io.
Information We Collect Automatically
- Usage data: pages and features accessed, session duration, tap/click events, and error logs.
- Device information: device type, operating system version, unique device identifiers, and IP address.
- Analytics: aggregated, de-identified information about how users interact with the Service.
Information From Third-Party Services
If you connect your QuickBooks account, we receive financial data from Intuit via their official OAuth API, including profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and cash flow data. We use this data solely to provide the Service features you request.
2. How We Use Your Information
We use collected information to:
- Create and manage your account;
- Provide, maintain, and improve the Service;
- Calculate your BizScore, business valuation, and AI-powered insights;
- Process payments and manage subscriptions;
- Send transactional emails (receipts, password resets, and service updates);
- Respond to support requests and inquiries;
- Detect and prevent fraud, abuse, or security incidents;
- Comply with legal obligations; and
- Improve our machine learning models using de-identified, aggregated data.
We do not sell your personal information or financial data to third parties.
3. How We Share Your Information
We may share your information with:
- Service providers: companies that help us operate the Service (e.g., Supabase for database hosting, Stripe for payments, and analytics providers), bound by confidentiality obligations.
- Intuit / QuickBooks: as required to authenticate and retrieve your financial data per your instructions.
- Legal authorities: when required by law, court order, or to protect the rights and safety of Biz Labs, our users, or the public.
- Business transfers: in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, subject to confidentiality protections.
4. Data Retention
We retain your account and business data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we will delete or anonymize your personal data within 30 days, unless we are required to retain it for legal or financial compliance purposes.
5. Security
We use industry-standard safeguards to protect your information, including encryption in transit (TLS) and at rest, access controls, and regular security reviews. However, no method of transmission over the internet is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
6. Your Rights and Choices
- Access and correction: You may access or update your account information at any time through the app settings.
- Data deletion: You may request deletion of your account and personal data by emailing admin@getbiz.io.
- QuickBooks disconnect: You may disconnect your QuickBooks account at any time from the app settings. This stops new data from being imported.
- Marketing emails: You may opt out of marketing emails using the unsubscribe link in any such email. Transactional emails cannot be opted out of while your account is active.
- California residents (CCPA): You have the right to know what personal information we collect, to request deletion, and to opt out of any sale of your data (we do not sell data). Contact us at admin@getbiz.io to exercise these rights.
7. Children's Privacy
The Service is not directed to children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe we have collected such information, please contact us at admin@getbiz.io and we will promptly delete it.
8. Third-Party Links
The Service may contain links to third-party websites or services. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of those third parties, and we encourage you to review their privacy policies.
9. International Users
The Service is operated in the United States. If you access the Service from outside the United States, your information may be transferred to, stored, and processed in the United States. By using the Service, you consent to this transfer.
10. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by posting the new policy in the app and updating the effective date above. Your continued use of the Service after changes become effective constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
