Biz Labs Group, Inc. ("Biz Labs," "we," "us," or "our") operates the GetBiz mobile application and the website getbiz.io (collectively, the "Service"). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and protect your information when you use the Service.
This policy describes our data practices. Where a feature requires your permission, we request it separately.
1. Information We Collect
Information You Provide
- Account information: name, email address, and password when you register.
- Business information: business name, industry, revenue, and other financial data you enter or that is imported from connected services (e.g., QuickBooks).
- Payment and subscription information: Web subscriptions are processed through Stripe; iPhone subscriptions through Apple; and Android subscriptions through Google Play. GetBiz verifies purchases and stores subscription status and related identifiers to provide the plan you purchased. GetBiz does not store your full payment-card number.
- AI information: messages and business or assessment context you provide when using AI features.
- Communications: messages you send to our support team at admin@getbiz.io.
Information We Collect Automatically
- Usage data: pages and features accessed, session duration, tap/click events, and error logs.
- Device information: device type, operating system version, unique device identifiers, and IP address.
- Analytics: aggregated, de-identified information about how users interact with the Service.
Information From Third-Party Services
If you connect QuickBooks, we receive financial reports and related business data from Intuit through its authorized API. We use that data solely to provide the Service features you request. GetBiz processes this information for its own Service, not on Intuit’s behalf.
2. How We Use Your Information
We use collected information to:
- Create and manage your account;
- Provide, maintain, and improve the Service;
- Calculate your Estimated Business Value (EBV), business health scores, and AI-powered insights;
- Process payments and manage subscriptions;
- Send transactional emails (receipts, password resets, and service updates);
- Respond to support requests and inquiries;
- Detect and prevent fraud, abuse, or security incidents;
- Comply with legal obligations.
We do not sell your personal information or financial data to third parties. We use your business data to provide the Service features you request, not to create data products for sale to unrelated third parties.
3. How We Share Your Information
We may share your information with:
- Service providers: Our service providers include Supabase and Netlify for hosting and backend services, Google for AI inference, Stripe for web payments, and Apple or Google Play for native subscriptions. We share information needed to operate the features you use.
- AI features: When you use AI features, your messages, selected business metrics, and an allowlisted set of Business Profile or Deep Dive facts with their source labels may be processed by Google Gemini to generate the requested response. Requests pass through GetBiz’s authenticated backend and hosting infrastructure. GetBiz does not automatically add stored owner names, personal contact details, home addresses, customer or supplier names, employee names, broker identities, or Strategic Connection and transition counterparty identities to Gemini context. GetBiz does not use your business data to train its own AI models.
- Professional introductions you request: a confidential-review request first enters an internal administrative workflow. We do not automatically contact another business or professional. If you separately authorize an introduction, we may share the information needed to make it and may disclose any applicable referral compensation.
- Marketplace: listing inventory is administered by Biz and buyer inquiries are routed to the responsible listing contact. Biz is not the listing broker.
- Strategic Connections: only opted-in businesses are considered. Potential fits are anonymized, and a review request does not automatically reveal identity or initiate counterparty outreach.
- Intuit / QuickBooks: as required to authenticate and retrieve your financial data per your instructions.
- Legal authorities: when required by law, court order, or to protect the rights and safety of Biz Labs, our users, or the public.
- Business transfers: in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, subject to confidentiality protections.
4. Data Retention
We retain your account and business data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we will delete or anonymize your personal data within 30 days, unless we are required to retain it for legal or financial compliance purposes.
5. Security
We use industry-standard safeguards to protect your information, including encryption in transit (TLS) and at rest, access controls, and regular security reviews. However, no method of transmission over the internet is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
6. Your Rights and Choices
- Access and correction: You may access or update your account information at any time through the app settings.
- Data deletion: You may delete your account through Profile → Privacy & Security → Delete Account, or request deletion by emailing admin@getbiz.io.
- QuickBooks disconnect: You may disconnect your QuickBooks account at any time from the app settings. This stops new data from being imported.
- Marketing emails: You may opt out of marketing emails using the unsubscribe link in any such email. Transactional emails cannot be opted out of while your account is active.
- California residents (CCPA): You have the right to know what personal information we collect, to request deletion, and to opt out of any sale of your data (we do not sell data). Contact us at admin@getbiz.io to exercise these rights.
7. Children's Privacy
The Service is intended for business users aged 18 or older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 18. If you believe we have collected such information, please contact us at admin@getbiz.io and we will promptly delete it.
8. Third-Party Links
The Service may contain links to third-party websites or services. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of those third parties, and we encourage you to review their privacy policies.
9. International Users
The Service is operated in the United States. If you access the Service from outside the United States, your information may be transferred to, stored, and processed in the United States. By using the Service, you consent to this transfer.
10. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes and update the date above. Where required, we will obtain your consent before using previously collected information for a new purpose.
